£50,000
Full time – 3 days onsite and 2 days in main office
Main Responsibilities
- Lead advisor on H&S related matters within the company
- Model safe working across the company
- Lead on H&S training programmes including delivery and design where appropriate
- Support Operations teams in the development and delivery of generic Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments as well as undertaking specific assessments as required.
- Responsibility for management of accident and near miss reporting and investigations
- Management of site audits alongside operations managers and client representatives as needed
- Liaise with client teams on any company or site specific H&S requirements
- Regular review of all company H&S systems and processes
- Delivery of H&S related checks and updates to all mobile engineers on a regular basis including Tool Box Talks and Safety briefings.
- Keep up to date on all changes in H&S legislation or associated guidance and ensure this is fed back to Senior Management Team
- Assist operations teams in achieving specialist accreditations associated with the work we are undertaking (ISO, BAFE, NECEIC, Constructionline, Chas, SSIP, Contractor, FORS etc)
- Maintain documentation in relation to accreditations
- Create and circulate monthly reports on H&S to SMT as requested
- Support bid team in responding to bids and tenders in relation to H&S matters
Knowledge and Experiences
This role will suit someone who has previous experience working in a multi-site environment, or with mobile engineers, and can react well to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience of working with a large technical and mobile workforce is desirable
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Some knowledge of either electrical engineering or fire compliance useful but not essential
- Positive and collaborative approach
- Commercial and pragmatic outlook
- Experience of Safety Management Systems and ISO standards – in particular ISO9001; ISO 14001; ISO18001/45001 – is desirable
